DREAMING WIDE AWAKE
Some of my favorite pieces are items of fantasy. Some of these items were inspired by a fictional character in pop culture, while others are strictly from my imagination.
Emotions are the driving force behind creating these images. This means the texture and use of color, play an important role in describing the mood of the subjects.

Speechless
This painting is a form of abstract art that focuses on capturing emotion. While I had my own set of feelings tied to the creation of this piece, I find that this item is solely left up to the individual’s interpretation

The World As I See It
“The World as I See It” was one of the first canvas paintings I have ever made. In my early days as an artist, I was more hopefully about the possibilities. This creation captures that unique perspective.

Music
This item is a very early image that combined traditional art with digital effects. It reflects my early methods of experimenting with different media.

Faceless Animation
“Faceless Animation” is part of the abstract collection which includes the painting called Speechless. Both paintings are driven based on emotional and open to interpretation.

Two Thousand Seasons
Inspired by the idea that Africans are forced to experience a thousand seasons of hardship. I imagined instead a form of Afro-futurism, where the African experience could instead be plentiful. This is an art piece that captures a time lapse.

Labyrinth
Struggle can be viewed as demons and monsters holding you back from being liberated. This painting of a woman reaching out for salvation, captures the essence of being held back.

Arya Stark
I have been a huge fan of “A Song of Ice and Fire”, so when HBO announced they were making it a series (and they announced who would play my favorite character), I had to immortalize her in a painting in a symbolic scenery.

House of Black and White - Arya Stark
Years before the Game of Thrones series reached the House of Black and White, I had my own vision of what it would look like, based on the books. This painting was created to bring my ideas to life.

Commissioned Work
A painting of pure symbolism.

Alice in Wonderland
A spin on the appearance of Alice.

Lullaby

True Love
When you find someone who is willing to accept you with all your flaws and vice versa, that (in my opinion) is true love.

Little Spoon
While the media shows that only women are vulnerable in a relationship, it is important to note that men are also vulnerable and seeking a sense of physical security.

Snarled
Shortly after escaping a domestic situation, the first painting I created was this piece. This emotional piece captured how I felt during that time. Looking back at this item, I feel like it is the most significant because while it portrays hardship it also shows strength.

Untitled III

A Coming Storm
One of my favorite PNW things to do is to sit at the waterfront and watch the rainstorms roll in. I find that this feeling captures a form of serenity. “A Coming Storm” is the first painting I have ever sold and has come to be my reference for following my heart.
